Removing The Stress of Booking Your Holiday

Let’s talk about one of the most important days of the year. Your holiday.

It’s the time you feel you most deserve, getting away from it all to relax and experience new things, be that an action packed holiday or a lazy slouch by the pool. It’s a time you look forward to most. But it can be the most stressful so we wanted to give you a brief guide on how to destress your favourite day or days if you’re lucky enough to have more than 1 holiday a year.

The things that stress people out the most are:

  • Location
  • Quality
  • Weather
  • Transport
  • £££

We’re going to show you simple steps on how to reduce the stress in these things with our little handy guide.

Location.

First off, what do you want to achieve on your holiday, sounds like an interview question but seriously what do you want to say when you finished your holiday? I feel relaxed, I enjoyed it(obviously) I experienced an amazing culture, I saw some amazing sites/things/people/animals etc etc.  Once you have that answered then you can start narrowing down your search. The world is a big place after all.

Now you know what you want form your holiday now look to where you can find it. You may have an idea but a simple thing is type it into Google for example.

“Relaxing Cruise” This search will provide you with some paid adverts from the big layers but will also give you blogs and posts about the top destinations. Be careful though as some people tend to put up “disaster” footage for example a cruise ship in high seas or snake wrapped round an engine on an airliner etc just don’t watch them or do depends on your disposition. We digress. So you’ve googled relaxing cruises found a cruise you like now to find out how good it is? Remember change the words relaxing cruise to the holiday of your choice.

Quality

So how do you know what the holiday will be like? Reviews, look at too much and you’ll talk yourself out of it not enough you’ll miss something. The balance has to be right and make sure it’s balanced don’t just look for the bad stuff look at the good stuff too.  So where and how do you look at reviews? First off you can try these 2 classics Google Reviews & TripAdvisor.

Weather

To ensure you get the best chance of going when you have the weather that suits you most. Check out these places  just typing into google weather for holiday will provide you with numerous weather sites. Most do 7 to 14 day forecasts. https://www.google.co.uk/#q=weather+for+holiday&pws=1

If you wanted to find out weather some further down the line then the met office do a page that can help you with that http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/holiday-weather

Transport

Transport is an easy one to identify.

  • How are you getting to your departure destination?
  • How are you travelling from the airport to your destination?
  • How are you travelling around on your holiday if you need to?
  • How are you getting back to the airport from your destination?
  • How are you getting back home from the airport?

These questions people tend to leave till the last minute. Usual piece is “Oh I’ll book a cab”. But before you do ask yourself why is it that you wanted to go on holiday? What did you want to achieve? Your going to spend all this money on a flight or a cruise then scrimp on the way there and back. You’re worth more than that have a think about a chauffeur service. Include it in your total cost. If it was built into the price you wouldn’t have thought twice. Start and more importantly finish your holiday on a luxury note.

If you didn’t want us to take and return you on one of your most important days of the year then don’t worry there are alternatives. Your travel company of choice can help you out with the transfers and the car hire we are the ones that just chauffeur you in style, to the airport and home again.

And finally.

££££.

Budget accordingly, have 2 budgets in mind 1 for the holiday including all what we’ve mentioned above the other, spending money. Tea towels don’t buy themselves do they? Make sure you get the best bang for your buck when it comes to travel money. Check out the Post office or your supermarket. Maybe you have a loyalty card that gives better rates or there is a better online deal then there is in the high street. The one thing that is true is that not taking any money and using your card is very very expensive. Changing your money at the airport 1 hr before you check in is also expensive. Think logically and plan ahead.

On a closing note. Do all the above and you should now have a tremendous holiday booked and ready to go. Hopefully we can be there at the start and end of your journey either way we hope you have a wonderful time.
